How Online Notepad Works
Automatic Saving
Your notes are saved directly in your browser, not on our servers. This means:
- You don't need an account or password
- Everything stays on your device, no one else can access it
- Works without an internet connection (offline mode)
- No tracking or ads
Privacy
- We don't share your data because we don't even receive it
- No activity logs or usage statistics
- Your notes are never sent to any server
- You are the sole owner of your information
Menu Buttons
Skins → Change the visual appearance of the notepad. Each skin has its own background style, typography, and colors.
Custom Title → Change the title that appears in the browser tab for the current page.
Undo → Undo the last action performed on the text.
Redo → Redo the previously undone action.
Alignment → Toggle text alignment between left, center, and right.
Search → Open the browser's search box to find text within the note.
Previous Page → Navigate to the previous page (up to 99 pages).
Next Page → Navigate to the next page (up to 99 pages).
Increase Font Size → Increase text size by 2px. Maximum: 48px.
Decrease Font Size → Decrease text size by 2px. Minimum: 8px.
Reset Font Size → Restore default font size (16px).
Copy Text → Copy the current page's text to the clipboard.
Spell Check → Enable or disable the red underline for misspelled words.
Word Counter → Shows the number of words, characters, and lines for the current page in the bottom-right corner.
Fullscreen → Enter or exit fullscreen mode. In this mode, an ✕ button appears to exit.
Backup → Download all pages as a .json file.
Restore Backup → Load a previously saved .json file and restore all pages.
Clear → Delete all text on the current page.
Ctrl Functions
- Ctrl + Z → Undo last action
- Ctrl + Y → Redo undone action
- Ctrl + F → Open browser search
- Ctrl + Scroll → Increase or decrease font size
- Ctrl + Up Arrow → Previous page
- Ctrl + Down Arrow → Next page
- Ctrl + Click on Previous/Next page → Open the page in a new tab
Shift + Click Functions
- Shift + Copy → Copy ALL text from all pages
- Shift + Clear → Delete ALL pages
- Shift + Increase Font → Maximum font size (48px)
- Shift + Decrease Font → Minimum font size (8px)
- Shift + Undo → Undo EVERYTHING (return to the page's initial state)
- Shift + Redo → Redo EVERYTHING (go to the page's last state)
- Shift + Previous Page → First page
- Shift + Next Page → Last page
How to Delete Your Notes
- Clear button → Delete text on the current page
- Shift + Clear button → Delete ALL pages
- Browser settings → Clear "Local storage" or "Hosted app data"
Backup
- Backup button → Download all pages as a .json file
- Restore Backup button → Restore a backup from a .json file
Browser Shortcuts
- F11 → Fullscreen
- Ctrl + + → Browser zoom (does not affect the notepad)
- Ctrl + - → Browser zoom
- Ctrl + 0 → Reset browser zoom
- Ctrl + R → Reload the page
- Ctrl + D → Bookmark the page
- Ctrl + P → Print the page
